Check out our Creality Falcon A1 Laser Cutter and Engraver! With the ability to engrave and cut wood, acrylic, cork, and more, the possibilities are endless! Bring your own approved materials, or use the library provided materials. Fees apply.
*Please note that we are not able to cut your designs during the scheduled appointments. Cuttings will have to be picked up at a later date (typically within 1-3 business days).

We are excited to introduce a new Virtual Reality (VR) program at Avon Free Public Library. We invite our community members to experience cutting-edge technology in an accessible and engaging way. Using VR headsets, you can explore immersive worlds and interact with digital content beyond traditional screens.
Join us at the library and step into a whole new world! All ages are welcome. No experience required!

Tech 1-on-1

Need help with your computer, smartphone, or Microsoft Office, Google Apps and more? We’re here to help! Our Tech 1-on-1 Program offers personalized assistance tailored to your needs, all for free at Avon Free Public library.

On this Tech 1-on-1 program, you will get one-on-one help with our friendly Technology Librarian. We will help you with anything from email basics and social media to using software and troubleshooting common tech problems. We offer two 30-minute sessions on Wednesdays from 11-11:30 and 11:30-12:00. Please reserve your spot now!

3D Printing and Design

1 hr

For beginners: staff will introduce the library’s 3D printer and Bambu Studio software and help you to understand the basics of 3D design and printing. Overview 3D printing process and materials as well as the 3D repository Makerworld, Thingiverse etc where you can download and print free 3D models.
For intermediate users: come in and work on your own projects, with library staff available for guidance.

Shu set up the 3D printer and printed the model I sent by email. She was friendly and helpful. While we waited for the part to finish, she pointed out the many other projects that have been printed. And she pointed out the other tools, such as the laser cutter and Cricut products.
